These 6061-T6 aluminum V-band clamp rings (also known as pipe ends) are designed for welding to your aluminum pipes and clamping together with one of our V-band clamps. The end result is an intake that will handle massive pressure, be impossible to put together wrong, never leak, and be very lightweight compared to just about anything else you could use. Another advantage of our aluminum V-band clamp rings is that they can be welded to our aluminum intercoolers. These V-band clamp rings come with a gasket as shown in the picture. The gasket helps to reduce leaks even farther in any temperature conditions, but the v-band rings can also be installed without the gasket. Using our V-band rings and clamps, you can install stainless steel components right next to aluminum components. For example, you can install a stainless steel flex section with SS v-band rings into an aluminum pipe with aluminum v-band rings. This way you can get the affordability and light weight of aluminum pipes with the material characteristics of stainless steel where needed. These are numbered based on the INNER diameter of the pipe. You should order our 3" V-band clamp to go with these. Two rings and the O-ring are included, but the V-band clamp itself is sold separately.

These used to be our 3.5" clamps and were numbered based on outer diameter of the rings they were built to clamp. As of September 29 2008 all V-band clamps and rings will be numbered based on the INNER diameter of the pipe. We agree that it would have been better to number them this way in the first place. Confused? just look at the Actual Clamping Ability below. Designed as a replacement for old or inferior clamps, they include only what is shown, not the rings (also known as pipe ends). Unlike some other V-band clamps available, these are not marked with any company logo. The only marking is a small, convenient number telling you the clamping ability (in MM). V-band assemblies are the most versatile and reliable way to connect your exhaust components. With V-band assemblies, you achieve the flexibility to install and swap your exhaust parts easily while maintaining the sturdiness and leak-proofing of a welded exhaust. ACTUAL CLAMPING ABILITY IS 3.50" TO 3.82". V-Band clamping ability refers to the outer diameter of the ring of the V-band clamp ring. The low number here can be 0.01" to 0.05" lower than the actual outer diameter of the V-Band clamp ring you are clamping. These match the sizes on our V-band clamp rings perfectly.
